Thule Tepui Rooftop Tent Installation and Features Guidelines

To mount a Thule Tepui rooftop tent on your vehicle, an aftermarket roof rack is essential. For guidance on the recommended weight capacities for roof racks, please visit the Thule Fit Guide on the manufacturer's website. Additionally, consult your vehicle's instruction booklet for recommended roof load information.

Thule roof racks are known for their superior design, quality, and strength, making them ideal for supporting Tepui Rooftop Tents, provided the following guidelines are observed. For roof racks from other brands, refer to the vehicle and roof rack owner’s manuals to ensure maximum weight capacity. Thule cannot guarantee compatibility or load capabilities with non-Thule roof racks.

Crossbar Dimensions: - For a 2-person tent, a minimum railing distance of 25.2 inches (64 cm) is required. - For a 3-person tent, a minimum of 33.5 inches (85 cm) is needed. - For a 4-person tent, a minimum of 30.7 inches (78 cm) is required.

If the roof rack foot spread exceeds 50 inches (127 cm), use Thule AeroBlades, Thule WingBar Evo, Thule ProBar Evo, Thule Xsporter, or TracRac bars. Avoid using Thule SquareBar Evo. The minimum weight capacity should be 165 lbs (75 kg).

Restrictions: - DO NOT use Tepui Tents with clamp-style roof racks. - DO NOT use Tepui Tents with edge roof racks. - Tepui Tents are compatible with crossbars up to a maximum width of 3.25 inches (80 mm) and a height of 1.5 inches (38 mm). - DO NOT install Tepui Tents on factory-installed crossbars. - DO NOT use Tepui Tents with slide bars or on vehicles with glass roofs. - Vehicles with sunroofs are compatible, but the sunroof’s opening function should remain unused.
